‘Yolanda’ Fundraiser Updates

Gawad Kalinga Canada wishes to thank fundraiser organizers, their generous patrons, volunteers and everyone sympathetic to the plight of typhoon ‘Yolanda’ victims who lost loved ones and their homes.

Several businesses, professional associations and community organizations have partnered with GKC in their ‘Yolanda’ disaster fundraising campaigns. All eligible donations made until Dec. 9 through GKC, a registered charitable organization, will be matched dollar for dollar by the Canadian government.

GKC is grateful for your time and resources, and the overwhelming compassion you have shown towards our ill-fated countrymen in the Philippines. With your benevolence we can help rebuild their lives, a significant step after immediate relief aid has been extended to them.

GKC also wishes to thank individual donors who have shared their blessings. Our fundraising campaign continues and we welcome donations online, through PayPal or e-mail transfer, and offline through cheques mailed to GKC. Please see details here

Amidst this crisis, we remain hopeful, inspired and motivated because of the solidarity and compassion the global community has shown our people. Maraming Salamat po! (Thank you very much).
