GKC welcomes President Aquino to Canada

GK Canada joined the Filipino-Canadian community in Toronto in welcoming President Aquino during his first State visit to Canada on May 7-9, 2015, on the invitation of Canada Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The Filipino-Canadian community reception at Roy Thomson Hall in 60 Simcoe St., Toronto was organized by the Office of Prime Minister Harper and facilitated by the Philippine Consulate Office through Ambassador Junever Mahilum West who is now based in Jordan. 
Filipino-Canadian Senator Tobias Enverga was emcee at the event. Minister Jason Kenny of the Ministry of Multiculturalism and Ministry of Defense, and Minister Joe Oliver of the Ministry of Finance also joined the Filipino-Canadian community reception.*
